M@laysia Merdeka days is just around the corner( tomorrow-31 August 2008) . Left 3 and half hours more, Malaysia would be 51st years old. It's have been 51 years since Malaysia gain its independence from the British. For the half decades, alot of changes and developments has taken place. Though Malaysian are made up of different races, we are united to progress towards the development of third world country with third world mentality citizens. I could see lots of Malays were actually purchasing "tang lungs"( lanterns) in TESCO today. "Tang Lungs" are the toys for Mooncake Festival of Chinese. It's clear that Malaysians celebrate all the festivals and share all the tears and joys at all time.. YooHOO~~ Malaysia!!

I attended a talked yesterday( 28 August) organised by Accounting Club. It's a talk on ACCA( The Association of Charted Certified Accountants). To be frank, i really have little knowledge regarding "what's ACCA all about??" and " why should i take it??"

Mr. Ang Wen Hau ( representing ACCA) answered my doubts in my mind. He explained to us with lists of FAQ he accumulated from various University Undergraduates.

Why ACCA?

ACCA will assisst career progress in any organization and field. In other words, it is relevent whereever you are.

What's the remaining five papers do we have to take??

ACCA is made up of 14 papers in total. With Degree in Bachelor of Accounting( Honor) from MMU, we could then be exempted from 9 fundamentals papers. The 9 papers are to assess candidates' knowledge and skills in Acounting. However, it would be mandatory for us to take another 5 papers with we were to pursue in ACCA. the five papers inclusive of the following

Exam+ethics+experience=ACCA?

Essentials:

• Professional Accountant
• Corporate REporting
• Business Analysis

Option: ( choose ONLY two out of four)

• Advanced Financial Management( less favourable)
• Advanced Performance Management
• Advanced Taxation( high passing rate)
• Advanced Audit and Assurance

DO you have passing Quota?

the passing rate is 50 %. No quota is set. Eventhough you obtain 49%, you are still considered FAIL~~~

Part time or full time?

It's FOC-FREEDOM OF CHOICE. On average, we could obtain ACCA qualification within one year if we study full time, and two years if we study part time. He told us something which FREAK ME OFF!!! A friend of his was studying part time for ACCA and working in one of the BIG FOURS. She was PRETTY. He said that if she were to involve herself in beauty peagent, she would definitely WIN.. Mr. Ang met her again after eight months . GUESS wat?? He almost called her " AUNTIE"...so, " it's not easy studying and working huh~??"

How do i study for ACCA?

You could either choose to buy the book and self-study or attend tuition. Tuitions instituitions are categories according to their average passing rate. For instance, Sunway is ranked as Platinium whereas Kasturi is ranked as Gold. Platinium ranking has higher passing rate than Gold ranking. Each instituition charges different rate of tuition fees.

How do i register for ACCA?

Via online or posting registration forms. Once you register, you have to pay 64 pound of registration fees and finish the study within ten years.

This talk did clear doubts in my mind.However, i am still hesitating whether ACCOUNTING IS A CAREER FOR ME , whether i want to be OUTSTANDING~ having the price paid is my youth~IT's really not easy to work and study at the same time.

It's a rainy day~ ~Seok Ling and me went to jonker to have a walk. It has been a long time since previous visit to Jonker Walks. There're more stalls now~ though it was dizzling, Jonker was still packed with people. Seok Ling bought several souvenirs for her coursemates and seniours who have has been very supportive and helpful. I also bought the same things as she did~

The first thing is a wooden padlock~There're several types of animated animals padlock such as Ziraffe, ladybird, hippopo, frog, cocrodile etc. She bought 5 and i bought 1 to make it total of 6. They are sold 3 for RM 10.

Another thing we grabbed: hand-paint-hairclips( 3 for RM10). We were attracted by the bag with sport shoes outlook~The bag was a shoes shape~~ and we were told that it's handmake bags that has not been widely commercialise yet..sales for RM49.

The mirror is not really as scary as i thought~ There're several parts that i don't quite understand~ Why must be Eskerrer??She did nothing wrong???Why must she be the one?? And how did he trapped into mirror since all mirror were damaged in the end?? I just DON"T GET IT~

If you are an MMU student, did you ever have your Mid Term exam in CLCR0002??? It's a lecture hall~ How could that be?? Today 2-3pm @ CLCR0002, we HAD our BKE midterm there~ SURPRISINGLY???? YES~ we had our Mid term there~ i wandered whether it's a FAIR Mid Term. Firstly, there're lots of Distractions~not from the students themselves, but from the LECTURER!!! He was shouting here and there asking

" did you get your paper?"

" no notes and bags~PLEASE"

" Please don't keep any Extra Questions paper~"

..YADDA YADDA YADDa~~ could you SHUT UP!!!

and there was people coming in the middle of the test and he started his " WHISPERS" in a LOUD MANNERS??

Ccould you ever imagine how a person who could talk to 200 students without microphone whispers???no~ HE could NEVER WHISPER!!!!

The moment the Questions FLASH by my Brain, he SHOUTED it AWAY~ arrgghh~~ That's so so so ANNOYING~

I am sure that i would not be the one complaining here~ Everyone was groaning as soon as they stepped out~

Secondly, not everyone was well positioned and allocated~I was told after the test that people sitting behind were able to sit close to each other and have their little discussions~

" HUH" That's my immediate response~~

The only CONCLUSION i have here~

We were to feed ourselves in three hours before our next class( BKE Lecture-we are good students.. we didn't absent ourselves this time~). There was a disgusting adour in FSER 2023( our Finance Tutorial Venue)the moment i stepped into it....Yee..It smelled like "kencing" in the toilet~

A technician( i was wandering what's the job and responsibilities of a technician in the job analysis? inclusive of tracking animal carcass ??That's humilating~) came and intend to find out the source of that odour~He was searching here and there for that source, suspecting that there might be a rat carcass in that room, causing the unbearable stinking odour. His search was in vain. Nothing was found. He suspected that it might be hidden up the cellings~

Mr. Mustapha came in a moment ago. He also could not bear that stinking kencing smell and asked Andy to check whether 3rd floor have any room available at that moment. YAIH~~ there's an empthy room for us to ESCAPE to~it's FSER 3016~

Guess what?? There was no Air-conditioner in that room. No wander i saw" Criminal Law I shift to next door. TQ" on the white board. Hmm...

It was an abandoned room~i guess~

Having no other choice, we had our tutorial there~ hmm~ it's hot in here!!! The tutorial ended after an hour~ i don't really understand this chapter~CASH MANAGEMENT???

Temp. Functioning??

Time: noon, Rainy

It was great that my Pc is temporarily alright and functioning as my brother has removed the Culprit In CPU( part of the harddisk). Though i lost some necessay programs and files again, it is still a relief to escape from the " ticking" sound of that CPU for a moment. Moreover, we have successfully backup the important files in elsewhere. It is not really a big problem afterall.

Why is this so??

My Destop is sick again~ it was frustrating and distracting to hear the "ticking" sound emitted from the CPU..It's certified that the harddisk is spoiled~~ Why is it always giving me troubles ??? especially at the moment i need the computer the most???? I don't really understand. Is it because of the way i treat it or is my Room's feng Shui unmatch with its birth date??(haha, just kidding)... i have no idea~~ Being too dependent on computer really is not a good thing~ What would you do when your Laptop or Destop entered factory one day before your assignment went due and that particular copy of your assingment was just inside the harddisk storage~~ Seriously, i saw a girl experiencing that problem when i went to Stygic long time ago. She was so depressed and anxious at that moment. i could feel how deep was she in the hot soup at that moment.Since the time when my Destop encountered severe disease and was sent for repairment for about months, me and my brother backup every important file. Be it in Inbox, pendrive or external harddisk, CDs~~However, if a destop which is always in faulty and giving me so much trouble, it is more like a nuisance than an assistance to me~~

Holiday=Hell??
