Event: ACCA Career Fair 2008

Comments:

A few of us who are from the second year of our BACC degree found that the fair was not really interesting for us. The ACCA carreer fair targeted more of final year undergraduates and undergratuates who are undergoing intership. As a consequences, we were more like a passerby during the whole events. In another word, we were too YOUNG to receive the input now. However, after attending the talk in ACCA career fair, i am well-informed that becoming the Accelerated ACCA member by not less than 6 months before u graduating would gurrantee u a save of 64 pound which is the registration fee for ACCA paper. We are only required to submit the completed application form together with RM100 to be an Accelerate member. In future, we would not need to pay 64 pound for the registration fee anymore. Hence, it is a not bad offer. It also gift away 1 GB pendrive for first few applicants too.

Next stop: Sungai Wang and Times Square

As the Theory by Maslow, Human's first needs must be fulfilled before the next advanced level, hence, our first activity as soon as we reached Times Square and Sungei Wang was--->LET' EAT~~~

Haunted at: KIM GARY in Sungei Wang

Atmosphere:

This time, we managed to find our way to KIM GARY faster than we expected. However, the moment we reached there, it was packed with hungry ghosts and few more hungry ghosts were waiting outside. Despite the crowd, we was served within five minutes(arrggh, luckily we didn't leave for another restaurant before that)..after we entered, it was really PACKED~

Serving:

despite the GOOD BUSINESS, the serving was still maintained. Our orders were served in few minutes.

ALL food were delicious when we were hungry. the country set is highly recommendable~

Shopping Spree

We were loitering around, stopping once while to glance the performance on stage. The crowd at Sungei Wang really made us hard to proceed our journey~~At the end of the day, i managed to buy two belts at RM10 each( Melaka suffer of economic and nice belts deficiencies) and a small handy bag~~

Finally: we gathered in front of Times Square. It rained out of a sudden after a few thunder roars~ headed HOME to MMU MELAKA~~

I"M BACKED!!!

Weather: cooling night

Yaih~~i am finally BACK to the cyber world. It has been a month plus that i disconnected myself from the Cyber World. You must be wandering what has happened to ME. Nah. it was my destop. It was entered into ICU weeks ago and guess WHAT>>>I am using it currently. The feeling of using this destop back was like meeting back a long lost friend of mine.

A month plus earlier, i added in extra RAM. Ever since the RAM was added in, the computer faced several problems such as lagging, hanging and turning off by itself. It was eventually unable to be turned on. It was then sent for professional inspection, it was "dianogsed" that the ingenuine RAM caused the other main parts of the computer to be ruin and should be repaired. To be more specific, the motherboard of my computer was "exploded" due to the ingenuine RAM which was added in earlier. i could only say"

IT WAS SUCH A BIG MISTAKE!!!" .

This lesson caused me RM 815. Yeah~ it's RM 815 to get my destop FIXED~

We nowadays really need a computer to survive~~ It was a torture for ME and my BROTHER for not having a connected computer. ( my brothers's computers was faulty too....that was so unexpected~~)We were complaining to each other how bored were we and playing with the remote control of ASTRO most of the time. It was such a convenience to own a connected computer. However, i have passed the life of without a computer for a month plus~~~ Does it actually mean that i still SURVIVE without a computer??

RM 2.70 effective 5th June 2008

RM2.70?? What's the pricing for?? Is it for one loaf of Bread or a bar of Chocolate?? Nah~ It the latest fuell(RON97) price in Malaysia~~It rises as much as RM 0.78--> that's alot for most of us or should i say all of us~~

It's annouced in the 5pm news that from tomorrow onwards(5th June 2008) , the price of fuel (RON97) would rise 40% from RM 1.92 per litre to RM2.70 per litre. "The new price of RM2.70 includes a 30 sen government subsidy from what the Prime Minister says is a market price of RM3.00 per liter."(paultan.org, 2008)At the same time, the price of RON92 would be rise from RM1.88 to RM2.62 whereas Diesel would increase from RM1.58 to RM2.58. However, subsidies would be issued for those who are qualified( refer to paultan.org)

Rise of RM0.78? that's alot for most of us? or should i say that's a lot for everyone of us~ The rise of fule price really leaves an big impact on us. It's inevitable that prices of fuel-related industries includings all the food industries would be affected too. However, it is known that our government is moving towards abolishment of fuel subsidies in the future, so we are advice to get use to it later than groaning among the crowd.

CONCLUSION:

"From the past till present, the fuel is forever up up up!!"

Being lonely and "wuliao" during the semester break, i followed ying ying and her mum to Batu Pahat for shopping yesterday~~ See what i grab-->

Item Grabbed:

• One shorts of white strips in black colour(RM 29.90)---arrgghh..though i know mum's going to nag at me..i still bought it..heehee...i just like shorts so much~

• One T-shirt of black colour(RM17.90)

• One Heels of beige colour from Vern's shoes house(RM 27.90--discount from RM 55.90)

Total expenses for the day: RM78+

ermm.. after one whole day of walking up and down , scanning the shops we stepped in, from shoes to clothes to shorts... i found that Batu Pahat and Malaka share one similar thing. Both place people prefer to wear casually when they are out shopping~~(c0mpared to KL).. Surprisingly, we(me and ying ying) met one of our friends from MMU---what a coincident huh??

What's differences? Batu Pahat mall are more spacious fitted with more variety of shoes "ya"and fashion boutiques. Moreover, some outfits there are relatively economical than Melaka. At there, you could easily find something that you need with reasonable pricing~ Thus, it is a not bad place to shop at~~

Setting: night, cooling

I feel so relieved right now~~~ Today was my last paper, Principles of Finance. It would be our last semester in Beta year( first year in degree).

After three months of hard works, it is OVER!! or maybe it is just a BEGINNING??(quoted from" who move my cheese" parable)

Beta is over and we are all heading for a new CHEESE-Gamma which i believe would be a much more challenging one~~This long semester with 6 subject( consists of three core subjects, two languages and a foundation subject) was really stressful~IMAGINE yourself sitting for two language paper in a day and three core accounting subjects which served as a pre-requisite in a week time~( the consequences of failing one of the pre-requisite would be--> suspended for one academic year, which mean you would not be graduating at the year you're supposed to be~serious huh!!!???). Though the Beta year is over, but deep in my heart, i know that it was just a warming up for the MARATHON~ .
