Complicating versus Simplifying

I studied CA the whole day.
Doing CONSOLIDATED BALANCE SHEET for the whole day.
The text book just does not help much !
Thank You, Simpson~
Not that cartoon simpson that small child like wern wern usually watch. It's Mr. Sim Kian Dey who taught me Managment Account II(MA II) and Financial Reporting Standard II(FRS II).
He really left a big impact on me. I benefit from what he taught me till this semester. Before i started "preparing Consolidated Balance sheet" , i read back the notes simpsons prepared for FRS II.
Thank God that i was granted such a great lecturer who would simplify everything instead of complicating everything( that's what a foreign lecturer usually does )
To be frank, i did not have good feeling towards Simpson at the first lesson. Maybe that's what we call prejudice. Throughout the two semesters, i changed my perspective and attitute towards this lecturer.
He's a thoughtful and honest lecturer. If he did not prepare for that particular tutorial question and could not figure out why was the answers so, he would just admit it and apologise, promising that he would explain to us in the next class. And HE DID!
I was not mad at him. Sincerity makes him respectful.
Thanks once again.
If it's not because of his notes, it would probably take much time that it would be to understand consolidated balance sheet preparation.
Coming to university life, it's true that we need to discipline ourselves and be independent instead of cultivating the cultures of waiting to be spoon-feeded.
However, getting a good lecturer who could simplify everything for you is vital in conducting a qualify education.
If lecturers do not play their roles at all and we just need to study by ourselves, why do we need to go lectures? Is not that a waste of time, a waste of resources?
