Merry Go round and round

Date:5 April 2010
Mood: Tired
A recent Strategy class taught me a really important lesson.
Strategies comes with structures. As an organization is advancing further, expanding larger, serving more, we need wider capacity or probable a totally altered structure to support and sustain that expansion.
Despite that simple theory, MMU managment does not seem to be applying it.
The MMU students carpark is always fulled of late. I always see several cars turning round and round at the student carparks, searching desperately for carpark. And sad to say, i would be just one of them. It's really frustrating in that kind of situation when u are in hurry and yet you could not find even one parking lot. Worse still, i saw double parking at this HIGH DEMAND for carpark time. ( DOUBLE PARK IS SO WRONG!!!!!)
---------------------------
It was strategy tutorial this morning. AGAIN, i could not find any carpark in MMU student carpark. Leaving with no choice, I got myself out of there and drive to EP carpark. Surprisingly, there were ample "parking spaces" ( those so called parking spaces are illegal~)along two sides of road in front EP. I parked at the side. When i got down of my car, i saw a policeman carrying his duties-SAMANING every car possible. Turning around, i saw several cars infront of mine had already been SAMAN!!
Of course, i shifted my car~
I wondered.
How long could this sustain with ever increasing MMU undergraduates owning personal cars, and with only CONSTANT number of parking lots?
I have no idea what's purpose of the construction in front of EP, but i am hoping that it's reconstructed to provide more parking lots
