COVER LEttER~

Once you have your resume organised you will need to have an appropriate covering letter to convince potential employers they should be looking at your resume.
The covering letter should be tailored specifically to each employer. It needs to tell employers why they should employ you. It also needs to complement your resume — the best letter will fail if the resume is not up to scratch, and vice versa.
Tips to help you write your cover letter: Length
one well-spaced A4 page
Language
use strong verbs that demonstrate action and accomplishments, such as 'organised' and 'supervised' - make sure your letter is clear and concise
Name, title and address
find out the details of the contact person in the organisation and address your letter accordingly
Layout
include an introduction and identification of the position, your qualifications and how they make you suited to the role, your reasons for applying and a conclusion
Substance
identify your skills, experience and attributes that match the employer's requirements and state them
Style
the style of a covering letter can vary, below are samples of letters with a tip on how to improve

RESUME~~~

Your resume — or curriculum vitae (CV) — is a way of promoting yourself, your skills, achievements and suitability for the job. It must project a professional image and hold the readers interest.
Tips for creating your resume
  • Try not to place too much information on one page.
  • If printing, ensure your resume is produced using a good quality printer.
  • Don't print double-sided.
  • Page one should have basic information such as name, address, date of birth, education (both secondary and tertiary), other qualifications, and interests. Then provide a brief summary of work experience to date, and an outline of your career objectives.
  • Employers who want to get in contact with you should be able to do so quickly and easily using the contact details in your resume. If they can't, they may move on to the next applicant.
  • This is the chance to sell your personal and professional strengths by including an 'achievements' section that details projects or tasks where the outcomes were successful and over and above the call of duty.
  • On the following pages, list work experience in chronological order (most recent first) detailing period of employment, employer, position(s) held and primary responsibilities. Use bullet points, and make sure lines are well spaced.
  • Include three referees (people who know you and will be prepared to vouch for you if contacted). Make sure you get the permission of the referee first, and give them some warning if you think they might be contacted by a potential employer.
    • one work related
    • one personal
    • one related to some other area in which you have achieved will give a good balance
  • Get someone else to proof read for clarity and spelling and layout errors.
  • Academic transcripts, confirmation of professional qualifications, and selected references should be attached, and the attachments listed.
  • If you're applying for your first full time job out of tertiary studies, think about what will differentiate you from other applicants. Employers will be looking for academic achievement, but they may also be looking for evidence of sound workplace skills (perhaps from part-time employment or work experience), good communication skills, and the ability to balance a range of activities and still achieve good outcomes. It's also likely that employers will be looking for sound computer skills, appropriate for the position you are applying for.
  • Keep your resume up-to-date, and continuously review it as your situation changes and on the basis of your experience and feedback you get.
There are no wrong or right answers in preparing your resume, but some resumes work better than others.

    the 12 hours outing-->PART 02:Yoga

    Date:20 March 2008(Thursday)
    Time: 6-7pm
Location: City life Yoga centre(opposite Econsave)
    Salutation
After leaving my friend's house, i took the Jelutong-Malim Road and headed to my Yoga Lesson that was suppose to start at 0615 pm. i reached there within 20 minutes!!! ( i adhered the road regulations all the way, i swear~~)
As usual, i reached there and went up to the highest level for my 45 -60 minutes yoga lesson. That class was packed with UNCLEs & AUNTIEs and i believed i should be the youngest there. SURPRISINGLY, that class was the most packed class ever since i attended the yoga lesson a month ago. Sometimes, there would be only one student for a yoga class.(so big contrast yea??) Yesterday, it was around 20 people?? and i saw a lot of middle aged men there too. See, YOGA IS NOT FOR FEMALE ONLY!!! It is a relaxation exercise for all walks of life even small kids like Jonathan(fei po wern wern's brother of who is now a primary school student)~~ We waited for minutes and all of us wandered why the yoga instructor was so late yesterday~~ ermm, at last, she arrived and we had our yoga lesson.
She taught something yesterday~ the another way of yoga breathing:
    • sit yourself into lotus pose
    • relax your self
    • straigten your spine
    • make yourself as comfortable as possible
    • use your right thumb to close your right nose
    • inhale with your left nose
    • release your rigth nose
    • close your left nose with your right middle finger
    • exhale with your right nose
    and the cycle goes on
tips: the speed of breathing should be made as slow as possible~~
At 0722pm, the lesson ended....arrgghh, i knew i was late~~for the dinner with Soek Ling and Tze Hwei~~I rushed home, bathed and headed to "De feel" for dinner. I was so delighted as i didn't lost myself!!! again!!
    TO BE CONTINUED~~

    the 12 hours outing-->Part 01: ANGEL's hair

    Date: 20 March 2008(Thursday)
    Weather: Sunny
    Time: 1130am till 530pm
    Location: Andy's house
    ANGEL's HAIR !!!
As soon as i reached there, we started all the preparing for the main course, ANGEL's HAIR(wandering what it is?) Actually, should be he's preparing, i was the camera lady whose responsibility was to snap and snap and snap!!!! He was wearing the apron~~HEEHEEHE
    GETTING STARTED~~~
the before and after did made a difference~~LOOK!!!
    yeee~~~ it looks so geli~
this made him smell like garlic man the whole day~~
That's why i was standing behind all the time~~~
the "hamu"preparing to jump into the pot of heating oil~ yiks, so big sacrificing nee~
    Looking Seriously at the OIL~~
Doesn't he look like the ambassodor of the "hamu"~the sweaty look version~~~heeheehee
after an hour plus of showing off his "knife" skill on the pathetic chicken pieces and the stinking garlic(yee, that smell was so hard to get rid off!!!that's why i was hiding myself ), the the process of fying the "hamu" , looking up and down for the cooking tissue, the the FOOD WAS FINALLY READY!!
    THE OUT COMES~~
the "hamu" which had been exposed to too much UVrays
He's was cutting one piece of the "hamu", the other three I CUTTING!!!( camera lady do parttime while camera-ing)
the meaty which had transformed into the eggy
    IT"S FINALLY DONE!!
tada~~ today's main course, the ANGEL's HAIR had finally been served( western food served on China plate?creative right~~ to show that we would never forget our origin though we were copying western's cooking style)
    It's served in PAIRS~~so Tempting~
    TADDA!!
Have a CLOSER LOOK~~ THE second Attempt~~it was flooded with BLOOD of the ANgel
    YOUR RATE"S OUT!!!
Rating for his culinary skill: 7 our of 10( can't give too high, later he would proud of himself and leave no room for advancement) Rating for his Spagetti: 9 out of 10 ( It's nice!!! i like the "look-like-egg" meats int he tomato sauce", can't give full mark, later he would have no more satisfaction when he attempt for the next cooking trial~) Next, after we sapu all the ANGEL's HAIR and i sapu all the TOMOTO CHERRY(My favourite~~ good for your vision and skins, and ideal for diet~)
    THE MESS!!!
th mess on the table after eating~~
arigatou, kakak (for washing the dishes
    )
    BUSINESS PLAN~~~HeadACHE!!!
After the self-feeding of ANGEL's HAIR, we headed for our BIZ plan Assignment(See, we utilize every minutes we left within this one-week holiday, while playing, while serious-ing)... Actually, for the whole assignment, we were just crapping around. I should say " we were requested to create somethign based on our imagination" . For instance, we have to write about the qualification and expertise of the team management for the business that we plan to develop. As usual, we need to crap all thos equalifications that our friend 'would have" in the future~~THAT WAS FUN ACTUAlly!! Till 530pm, i left for my YOGA!!! i thought i would be late cause he said that i would be for sure " LOST MYSELF !!!" again just because i was lost in his taman today~~THAT was because of ....certain factors!!! I took Jelutong road to Malim, knowing that the highway roads would be in heavy traffic and red lights all the way ~~~ And, i reach in within 20 minutes!!! ( i adhered the road regulations all the way, i swear~~) Doumo arigatou gozaimasu, eren san~ for being the "shufu" of the day~ TO BE CONTINUED~~PART 02: Yoga
