Date: 6 April,2008
Weather: Sunny in the morning, rainny and humid in the afternoon and evening.
i was late to for the workshop today.Well, what have i actually learnt today~~ It would be alot to be listed. I would just pinpoint some.
WHAT HAVE I GAINed TODAY??
I have learnt interest way to memorise a formulae: F=(MV-MU)/T
The explaination goes like this: I went for a Fish movie that day, the movie was with no sounds(deduct the MU), i then enjoy the movie of fishes swimming freely and relax myself . At the end of the movie, a tortoise appeared in the screen and said:" Thank you for coming to the movie. The movie was as slow as me~"
Isn't that creative enough that would cause you to memorise it that just so easily??
However, what i feel is that, not all formulae could be made into an interesting story. It depends on how clealy you understand the formulae. For sure, every formulae was formulated in a way and there must be an explaination for it. All this while, i have been using my interpretation and understanding as well as logic to memorise the formulaes. I found it isn't that difficult after all. Though i could not give 100 assurance to myself that this formulae could be transferred into my Long term memory, i found it's work better for me...That is by understanding the root behind.
My Mind map of myself~
i also relearnt the techique of mind mapping. Previosly, i learnt the Mind Mapping seriously in my National Servise Camp in Kem Warisan, Masjid Tanah Melaka. We were guided in Characters building classes and requested to mind map about ourselves as well as our daily diaries as well as ideas. The idea of mind mapping is more or less the same. Example, mind maps should start from the centre, at least THREE colours should be used, only CAPITAL letter are used, words should be written on top of each line, thick lines for the main point etc. However, it has been made clear that certain mistakes should not be made when you mind map for better usage of that mind map. For instance, DO NOT WRITE UP AND DOWN in a mind map. Nevertheless, i still wander would i ever use the mind map in my study. OF course, i did and i do use mind map in all my studies. But rather, i prefer a simple plain mind map which suits my style and own comfort in preparing it. After all, it would be us who is using it. However, the tips provided by the trainer today was found quite useful and reasonable to me.
The accumulation of al the mindmaps
The mindmap of $$$
There wasonly one word that appear on the three mind maps~~(it's a "bank" word)
The trainer, Mr Jaya emphasized again the importance of reviewing what you have read instead of repeating it for 100th times which is rather impossible and non-practical in university as our text books would be as thick as or even thicker than the Dictionary. Well, in anther words, WE DO NOT HAVE TIME!! We would eventually forget 100% of what we have learnt if we never review it again. It is adviable to review ur materials( consolidated into mindmap or notes) 10 minutes later, 1 day later, 1 week later,1 month later, 3 months later and 6 months later. WHY DO WE NEED TO DO SO ?? ARE YOU SURE THAT WE REALLY CAN REMEMBER THAT?? YES, i am very positive and affirmed by the ability of Mr Jaya who can remember a series of 4-digit numbers in orders. IT WAS AMAZING!! the logic there is that, HE has actually transfer all the 4-digit series into his LONG TERM MEMORY. A place where we store the data for the rest of our life. For instance, 3 times 3 equal to 9 is the example of data that is being key into our LONG TERM MEMORY. Hence, we would never forget this kind of calculation.
THE END OF IT~
He gave his Thought at the end of the smart shop~~ He was the greatest participant in the workshop~~who got the most number of stickers and he was rewarded a big bar of Chocolate~~(Chocolate=Fattening!!)
Let's Celebrate~~~
There were 28 candles~representing the 28 of US in the workshop~~
And WE contribute to the 28 holes on the SECRET RECIPE BANANA CHOCOLATE CAKE~~
Look~~GUESS WHAT IS SHE DOING???

SLICING THE ONE BIJI CAKE into XXX...shape~~ Like that~~ uuuucchhh~~It seemed like a challenging job to slide a BIJi of cake for 28 of people~~
CALL IT A DAY~~~ FOR SMART SHOP 2008~:-)
